#5, 2006 Skandies

Liked Gerry but thought the leads and the scenery were too pretty? Then here's the movie for you, in which a couple of aging burnouts go to a hot spring and that is the entire plot. Lots of long scenes of walking and driving under an ugly gray Oregon sky. Note to self: in the future, do a Google search to see whether the phrase "tone poem" appears in any reviews of the movie. If so, skip it.

The one thing I did like in the movie was when they were packing up their tent and the dog picked up a stick as if that somehow constituted helping out.
