Don DeLillo and David Cronenberg, 2012
#15, 2012 Skandies
Don DeLillo's White Noise is one of my favorite novels, so when I saw that an adaptation of one of DeLillo's other books had made it onto the Skandie list, I figured I'd give it a look. It wasn't a long look. This is a movie about a guy riding around town in a limo with bad greenscreen windows, having affectless, inhuman conversations about abstractions with a string of interlocutors. It is significantly worse than the previous movie I saw about episodes in the life of a guy riding around town in a limo, and I couldn't sit through all of that one either.
