#5, 2014 Skandies
For the past two years I have had virtually no time to do anything other than school stuff. So even though I am still many, many days behind in my essay grading and lesson planning, when this holiday weekend arrived, I thought, dagnabbit, on one of these extra days off I am actually going to watch a movie and make at least a tiny dent in my Skandies backlog. The next movie up was Stranger by the Lake. It quickly became clear that this movie was, shall we say, not relevant to my interests. I clicked ahead to ascertain that this would remain the case. Result: irrelevance further established. Total length of my break from work: nine minutes.
