I first heard them: when 120 Minutes played “Car Song”

Sound: the first two albums were a sort of unusually focused variety of shoegaze, but then they changed their sound to something not remotely as good

Listening station: I liked Madder Rose enough back in the day that I wrote them a thank-you letter.  Like, a piece of paper with handwriting on it that I put in a stamped envelope.  It was a different time.
