Sound: poppy garage rock fronted by someone who sounds like she beat up Lisa Simpson a lot in elementary school

Listening station: While I certainly don’t dislike the Muffs’ later work, I do think they were on a different level on their first, self-titled album.  Here are some tracks from it:
